SALON ASSISTANT

Upscale high-end salon in Marin County seeking a full-time Salon Assistant. Our ideal candidate is local to Marin, with great customer service, and looking to be part of our salon team and culture. Emphasis on personal style and appearance, as you will be working hands-on with our clients.

About the role

Our Assistant Training Program is structured for 18 months. Upon completion, our goal is to have you fully trained in all aspects to work behind the chair and perform services on clients at the salon’s standards. After training, you will transition into the role of stylist, and we will support and help build your clientele.

We use and provide education in: L'Oréal, Redken Color Lines, keratin smoothers, Kérastase, Oribe, and more.

Responsibilities

• Shampooing clients
• Blowouts and styling
• Client set-up and sanitary procedures
• Social media content creation and photography (ideal but not required)

Requirements

• Cosmetology License or scheduled State Board test date
• Ability to work until 7 PM some nights and availability to work Saturdays
• Strong, consistent work ethic
• Efficient time management and multitasking skills
• Stylish image
• Friendly and outgoing demeanor
• Envision yourself working in our salon after program completion

Pay

Hourly pay starting at $16/hr plus weekly tip outs. 90-day probationary period with a pay increase after based on performance. Yearly performance-based reviews.
