Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the General Kinematics’ Salesforce Engagement Team to maintain strong relationships with Salesforce and Salesforce Partners.
- Serve as the primary Salesforce system administrator for the organization's Salesforce org (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service Cloud).
- Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, permission sets, and security settings in alignment with organizational policies.
- Design and implement declarative automation using Flows, Process Builder, Workflow Rules, and Approval Processes to streamline business operations.
- Configure and maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, list views, and validation rules.
- Oversee release management including sandbox environments, change sets, and deployment of new features.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Manage and maintain third-party AppExchange integrations and connected apps.
- Monitor system performance, storage utilization, and license consumption; proactively address issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including data dictionaries, process maps, and training materials.
- Deliver end-user training and provide ongoing support to maximize platform adoption and utilization.
- Evaluate and implement new Salesforce features released during each seasonal update cycle.
Data Engineering & Analytics
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from Salesforce and other business systems into a centralized data warehouse (Azure Data Fabric).
- Develop and maintain clean, reusable data models following dimensional modeling best practices (star/snowflake schemas).
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to transform, aggregate, and validate data across multiple sources.
- Create, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements; translate these into reliable data products.
- Implement and enforce data quality standards, monitoring, and alerting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk API) and tools such as MuleSoft or custom Python integrations to extract and sync data.
- Contribute to the organization's data governance strategy, including metadata management and lineage tracking.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
Work Location
This is a fully onsite position; candidates must be able to commute to and work from our office full time.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and demonstrated professional experience will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience in a production Salesforce environment.
- Minimum 3+ years of data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development experience.
- Proven experience with full-cycle ETL/ELT pipeline development from design through production deployment.
- Demonstrated experience writing advanced SQL across one or more major database platforms.
- Experience working in a Waterfall or an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Technical Skills — Salesforce
- Proficiency with Salesforce Flows (Screen Flows, Record-Triggered Flows, Scheduled Flows).
- Experience with Salesforce data management tools: Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, Workbench.
- Familiarity with Salesforce APIs including REST, SOAP, and Bulk API 2.0.
Technical Skills — Data Engineering & Analytics
- Advanced SQL proficiency (window functions, CTEs, query optimization).
- Python scripting for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Experience with Azure Data Fabric, Cloud Data Warehouse.
- Experience with dbt (data build tool) for transformation layer development.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in at least one BI / data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding data modeling concepts: star schema, normalization, slowly changing dimensions.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred: Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or additional Salesforce certifications.
- Preferred: Experience with Salesforce CRM Analytics/Tableau.
- Preferred: Exposure to Salesforce Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), or Streaming API.
- Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure.
- Preferred: Knowledge of data governance frameworks, Master Data Management (MDM), or data catalog tools.
- Preferred: Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines for Salesforce (Salesforce DX, GitHub Actions).
- Preferred: Prior experience in a hybrid IT / business analyst role bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay
$95,000 to $125,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
