About the role

The AFX (AWS Field Experience) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) team is seeking a passionate, innovative, and results-oriented Systems Development Engineer to design, architect, and build scalable solutions. You will bring industry best practices, define metrics, and solve complex business problems for our field team to manage, maintain, and operate at scale. This role involves working with the latest Salesforce technologies and AWS Services to innovate in Customer Relationship Management (CRM). You will build applications that deliver critical capabilities to the field, embedding operational knowledge and best practices into everything we do. Additionally, you will contribute to the broader cloud strategy for AWS and potentially future AWS products.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build scalable, flexible, and integrated solutions for Sales and operations teams in partnership with other technology teams within and external to SMGS.
• Develop solutions for CRM and native AWS tools/applications to automate, optimize, and streamline quote-to-cash transactional workflows, improving operational efficiency.
• Simplify and reinvent systems, processes, and tools to enhance seller and customer experiences.
• Technically lead complex initiatives to build and deliver cloud services and CRM solutions.
• Define the strategy, vision, and roadmap for multi-year, business-critical cloud technology solutions rolled out to sellers.
• Drive cost optimization across CRM and AWS environments, ensuring high availability, low latency, and strong performance for mission-critical tools and services.
• Provide thought leadership in managing and scaling mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building services using AWS products.

Pay

Base salary range: $129,200 - $174,800 USD annually (for Seattle, WA). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
