Salesforce Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Salesforce Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions that support complex, business-critical operations in San Antonio, Texas. This role blends architecture, engineering, and hands-on platform leadership, requiring someone who can shape technical direction while contributing directly to implementation quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural planning for Salesforce platforms and connected enterprise applications, ensuring each solution aligns with technical standards and long-term business goals.
• Create end-to-end solution designs that cover system interactions, data structures, security controls, and implementation patterns across multiple Salesforce products.
• Evaluate when to use configuration-based features versus custom development to deliver maintainable, secure, and scalable outcomes.
• Participate directly in complex platform delivery by supporting advanced configuration, reviewing Apex and Lightning components, and guiding automation design.
• Oversee technical design reviews and code quality practices to promote consistency, documentation discipline, and reusable development standards.
• Resolve challenging production issues involving integrations, performance, data accuracy, and access controls across the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Design and govern integration approaches using APIs, middleware platforms, and event-driven mechanisms to support reliable data exchange with external systems.
• Define data architecture strategies, including migration planning, transformation rules, governance considerations, and analytics readiness.
• Partner with security and identity teams to implement authentication, authorization, and sharing models that meet compliance and privacy expectations.
• Drive platform optimization efforts, proof-of-concept development, and technical debt reduction initiatives to improve system stability and delivery speed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing and delivering Salesforce solutions in architecture, development, or enterprise platform roles.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Salesforce administration, configuration, development, and implementation across the Lightning Platform.
• Proven experience with Apex, Salesforce APIs, integration design, and enterprise application architecture.
• Background in building or supporting integrations using REST or SOAP services, middleware, and event-based patterns.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce security architecture, role-based access, data modeling, and governance best practices.
• Experience working with cloud and enterprise technologies such as AWS, .NET, ASP.NET, or related application ecosystems.
• Ability to lead technical reviews, communicate architectural decisions clearly, and support delivery in multi-stakeholder environments.
