Salesforce Administrator
About the role
The Salesforce Administrator position is essential to the Technology Department, focusing on maintaining, improving, and supporting users on the organization's Salesforce instance. This role involves building enhancements based on end-user feedback, identifying automations, and advising on business process optimization. It also includes providing day-to-day technical assistance and overseeing large-scale process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack instance, including integrations (Pardot, SproutSocial, DocGen, FormAssembly, QGiv, VolunteerHub, Sage).
- Run Salesforce backups and proactively monitor system maintenance (Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, Optimizer).
- Manage large sets of data, perform bulk migrations, and initiate data quality sweeps.
- Design and implement efficient data flow using rules and automation to ensure integrity and hygiene.
- Build and maintain a Data Dictionary documenting objects, fields, data types, and integrations.
- Respond to end-user issues, troubleshoot root causes, and resolve within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Interview end-users to identify operational needs and validate technical requirements.
- Manage user permissions and access levels, regularly auditing for privacy and license usage.
- Prepare custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support executive decision-making.
- Administer staff training to onboard new users, build engagement, and launch new processes.
- Establish and maintain up-to-date, user-friendly support documents adapted to user feedback.
- Produce innovative solutions based on validated technical and operational needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals through CRM enhancements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- This position will interact with staff, vendors, and other contacts via multiple channels: email, phone, video call, and in-person.
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative work spirit, and positive can-do attitude.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work products while managing multiple tasks at once and never compromising attention to detail.
- Willingness to cross-train with Technology teammates to uphold seamless customer service.
- Active in the Salesforce Community.
- Salesforce Administrator certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Salesforce Administrator experience (Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience preferred).

Compensation
Salary Range: $43.25-$48.10 per hour
For internal candidates, compensation will be set within the posted wage range for the role, in consideration of internal equity and the scope of the position.
