Salesforce Administrator
American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company is seeking a Salesforce Administrator to work in our corporate office in Des Moines, IA. Local telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
About the role
The Salesforce Administrator will serve as system administrator for the Salesforce environment, handling all administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks. Maintain, enhance, and create workflows, functions, and configurations within the Salesforce environment. Ensure integration and data exchange between Salesforce and external services, providers, or platforms. Test and approve system changes prior to deployment. Work with business units to ensure customer interactions are appropriately captured.
Responsibilities
- Handle all administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports, dashboards, and workflows
- Maintain, enhance, and create workflows, functions, and configurations within the Salesforce environment
- Ensure integration and data exchange between Salesforce and external services or platforms
- Test and approve system changes prior to deployment
- Work with business units to capture customer interactions appropriately
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 2 years of software development experience, including:
- Application development on Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM platform
- Writing SOQL queries, custom Apex code, Lightning Web Components
- Building custom apps and objects, custom flows, and custom views
- Salesforce administrative tasks
- Business CRM processes including pipeline management, case management, account management, reports and dashboards, forecasting, and campaign management
