Are you driven, curious, and ready to launch a career in sales? As a Sales Trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience, learn industry-leading sales practices, and work closely with experienced Account Managers and Sales Leaders.
Responsibilities
- Learn the Business & the Industry
- Develop a thorough understanding of company products, sales processes, policies, and procedures.
- Learn how manufacturing operations, purchasing, shipping, and receiving support the sales cycle.
- Apply business math concepts to real manufacturing and sales scenarios.
- Gain Hands-On Sales Experience
- Travel with Account Managers to customer sites and gain exposure to live sales interactions.
- Make sales calls to current and prospective customers with guidance and coaching.
- Aid in customer service inquiries, helping to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships that support long-term success.
- Develop Technical & Business Skills
- Learn and use UFPI business systems, CRM tools, and sales applications.
- Accurately enter customer orders and assist with sales documentation.
- Prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and management.
- Use Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word to stay organized and communicate effectively.
- Grow Professionally
- Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and develop time-management skills.
- Plan and participate in meetings, ensuring materials and participants are prepared.
- Travel to other facilities as part of best-practice training and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
- A willingness to learn, travel, and step outside your comfort zone
- Professionalism, organization, and a customer-first mindset

Pay
Salary Pay Range: Starting base pay- $55,000 - $65,000 annually dependent on experience
*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

The schedule will vary based on the needs of the business and the individual's performance.
