About the Role

This position is part of a training program designed to educate prospective salespersons in the fundamental elements of Ring Power rentals and sales. Trainees will learn all aspects of Ring Power sales methods and practices to become contributing members of a Division sales team. The program allows trainees to progress at their own pace, provided required competencies are achieved through written exams and/or direct observation by the manager.

Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Ring Power’s tradition, company values, and business philosophy in accordance with the Employee Handbook Code of Ethics.
  • Develop a working knowledge of all forms of communication related to Ring Power rentals and sales.
  • Effectively use company computer systems and applicable software for rentals and sales activities.
  • Engage customers in written and verbal conversations to build and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Understand Ring Power’s organizational structure, sales territories, division responsibilities, and product lines.
  • Learn the requirements to properly complete a sale using established company procedures and documents.
  • Understand applicable sales metrics, goals, objectives, and the activities and practices used to achieve them.
  • Gain knowledge of sales administration, including the sales funnel, pinning/scoring, contract review, sales financing, and collections.
  • Familiarize yourself with Ring Power’s parts, shop floor, and field service operations, with emphasis on the interaction between sales and these operations.
  • Understand typical Ring Power sales forecasting methods and their impact on sales activity.
  • Demonstrate competency in all requirements of the division-specific training program.

Requirements

  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite computer skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, speak, and write the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to relocate within the state of Florida.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience (preferred).

Physical Demands

  • Constantly (6-8 hrs/day): Sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
  • Frequently (3-6 hrs/day): Standing, walking, reaching, grasping.
  • Occasionally (up to 3 hrs/day): Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing (up to 25 lbs.), pulling (up to 25 lbs.), lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
  • Not Applicable: Climbing, crawling, extreme cold, extreme heat, respirator use.

Environmental Conditions

  • Constantly (6-8 hrs/day): Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather but not necessarily temperature changes).
  • Occasionally (up to 3 hrs/day): Subject to outside environmental conditions, noise (sufficient to require shouting), vibration, hazards (e.g., moving mechanical parts, electrical current, scaffolding, chemicals), atmospheric conditions (e.g., fumes, dust, gases), and exposure to oils.
  • Not Substantially Exposed: Typical office or administrative work conditions.
