About the role
EisnerAmper is seeking a Sales Tax Consulting Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. We are looking for someone who thrives in a growing environment and provides exceptional services to clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage the sales tax compliance process for clients
- Create and file sales tax returns
- Conduct sales tax research projects
- Manage information and people related to sales tax compliance
- Communicate with clients and manage staff
- Interact with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues
- Manage registrations and business licenses for clients
Requirements
- 6+ years experience with sales tax compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field
- CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent preferred
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx
- Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issues
Qualifications
- CMI (sales tax) designation a plus
