Sales Tax Consulting Manager - State and Local Tax (SALT)

About the role

EisnerAmper is seeking a Sales Tax Consulting Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. We are looking for someone who thrives in a growing environment and provides exceptional services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales tax compliance process for clients
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Conduct sales tax research projects
• Manage information and people related to sales tax compliance
• Communicate with clients and manage staff
• Interact with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues
• Manage registrations and business licenses for clients

Requirements

• 6+ years experience with sales tax compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field
• CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent preferred
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx
• Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries, and use tax issues

Qualifications

• CMI (sales tax) designation a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
