Sales Support Specialist II
About the role
As a Sales Support Specialist II you will serve as an important individual contributor to the Operations Team at Security Benefit. You will research and analyze problems and escalations to determine accurate and prompt resolution of issues, relay necessary information and status updates, address general inquiries, and provide issues resolution. Additionally, this position may provide dedicated onboarding support by delivering personalized services for book rolls and blocks of business.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales associates to ensure service and administrative problems are identified and expeditiously resolved;
- Serve as administration and operations subject matter expert (SME);
- Maintain contracts throughout the sales cycle for high-value and re-activated producers;
- Communicate Security Benefit contract workflow processes with Sales associates and serve as SME for administrative and operational support;
- Research pending contract issues including reviewing contracts to ensure they are in good order, following up with LOA paperwork, and checking processing for any potential contracts not in good order (NIGO);
- Provide weekly reporting of Submitted, Received, and Pending contracts to high-profile advisors;
- Deliver solutions to resolve emerging service gaps and advise constituents on trends and corresponding solutions;
- Partner with service and administrative associates to provide the highest level of support to sales professionals;
- Identify, develop, and execute continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in a Service or Administration environment; project management or client services experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field preferred
Financial and investment management industry experience
Ability to work independently with strong initiative, motivation, and excellent follow-through
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with all levels of staff and management
Willingness to develop a broad understanding of products, services, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
Team player who enjoys collaboration and can facilitate the resolution of issues
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
