About the role
The Sales Supervisor supports the General Manager in driving sales, credit, miscellaneous revenue, expense management, and planned cost recovery goals. This role ensures corporate programs and processes are executed to maximize store profit through superior customer service, associate sales execution, and productivity. The Sales Supervisor maintains the store's presentation standards and acts as a role model for business practices, leading with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the store sales culture to achieve sales goals and maximize revenue.
- Assist the General Manager with expense reduction, cost recovery, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage, and associate morale.
- Manage Human Resources (HR) transactional processes in staffing and training; develop action plans to improve individual and store performance.
- Select, coach, and develop strong and effective Lead Associates; build a diverse, high-performance team; set and manage high standards, including addressing underperformance; and position high performers for growth opportunities.
- Supervise a team of associates providing consultative selling and service, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations using the American Freight Professional Selling Process and Observation Tools.
- Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when needed.
- Maximize Furniture Protection Plans (FPP), Financing (AFF), and other Miscellaneous Income opportunities.
- Ensure consistency of merchandising execution and operational processes within the store.
- Ensure the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and the Company Code of Conduct and ethics policies.
- Provide a safe working environment for both associates and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay
The range of pay for this role is $45,000 to $62,000 per year, influenced by factors such as sales goals, bonus potential, skill set, level of experience, and cultural fit.
