Sales Supervisor

About the role

The Sales Supervisor supports the General Manager in driving sales, credit, miscellaneous revenue, expense management, and planned cost recovery goals. They ensure corporate programs and processes are executed to maximize store profit through superior customer service and associate sales execution and productivity. They also maintain the store's presentation standards at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Leads the store sales culture to ensure sales goals are achieved and revenue is maximized
• Aids the General Manager with expense reduction, cost recovery, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage, and associate morale
• Manages HR transactional processes in staffing and training; assists in action plans to improve overall individual and store performance
• Selects, coaches, and develops strong and effective Lead Associates; develops a diverse, high-performance team; sets and manages high standards, which includes taking decisive action with underperformers; and focuses on positioning high performers for growth opportunities within the store
• Serves as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when needed
• Maximizes Furniture Protection Plans (FPP), Financing (AFF), and other Miscellaneous Income opportunities within the store
• Ensures consistency of merchandising execution and operational processes within the store
• Ensures that the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company Code of Conduct and ethics policies
• Provides a safe working environment for both Associates and Customers
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Proven track record in sales leadership and management
• Experience in managing a team of sales associates
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles

Benefits

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, American Freight provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, achieving sales goals, maximizing bonus potential, skill set, level of experience, and cultural fit. The range of pay for this role is $45,000 to $62,000 per year.
