Sales Strategist, Deal Management

About the Role
As a Sales Strategist, Deal Manager, your primary responsibility will be supporting Fidelity 401k plan sales. You will work closely with your Workplace Investing Retirement Director and Regional Account Executive sales partners to support your team with both their ongoing advisor relationships and the sales process. Your purpose is to provide support to help the selling team focus on their sales opportunities and help them achieve success more quickly.
Responsibilities
- Analyze proposal/presentation requirements with other Deal team members and deliver pricing to prospects
- Provide support from initial pricing through sales commitment
- Manage the proposal activities and sales process for new business opportunities, including developing responses, planning, organizing timelines, and project deliverables
- Customize materials and support for deal advancement, finals, and follow-up, including fund lineups, demo sites, and finals presentations
- Manage multiple requests and prioritize workload to ensure sales needs are met
- Manage and maintain responses to improve proposal drafts and the proposal database
- Deal tracking and data updates in Salesforce
- Prepare plan pricing and fees
- Support Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Sales Finals meeting support
Requirements
- Series 7 and 63 licenses (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5+ years' experience, or Master’s Degree with 3+ years' experience
- Knowledge of defined contribution and/or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of financial advisors and/or third-party administrators
- Experience working with sales teams or in collaborative partnerships
- Investment product knowledge
- Minimal travel requirement

About the Team
Workplace Investing Sales is a collaborative, fast-paced, and exciting environment. In this role, you will support multiple selling teams to ultimately drive sales and grow long-term relationships with plan sponsors and trusted advisors. You will have responsibility for prioritizing, organizing, and supporting business partners to improve sales execution and profitability. The Sales Strategist, Deal Manager role supports the Sales Team selling in the $1-50M plan size and serves prospective plan sponsors and their advisors, focusing primarily on advancing Defined Contribution proposals from inception through sales commitment.
Schedule
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
