About the role

The Senior Sales Specialist at D&H plays a crucial role in growing vendor sales. They serve as an extension of the vendor or technology category, educating and enabling the sale of new and different technical products, programs, and services.

Responsibilities

• Leverage sound knowledge of diverse industry trends and technologies to build, position, and sell new and advanced solutions, programs, and services.
• Assume a leadership role on the team to train and mentor Sales Specialists, Inside Sales Reps, and Field Sales.
• Participate in joint reseller calls with D&H sales teams to sell and promote vendor solutions.
• Maintain consistent communication with all regarding key initiatives pertaining to vendor initiatives to further grow profitable business.
• Communicate with D&H staff to ensure that internal support and team members understand and are able to properly support sales opportunities.
• Create and communicate tactical and strategic initiatives and forecasts aligned with the direction of the organization and vendor objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a sales position.

Qualifications

• Extensive sales experience.
• Ability to train and mentor team members and D&H sales.
• Knowledge of the manufacturer’s key competitors.
• Experience attending manufacturer trainings.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with resellers and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
