About the role
Feeser’s, Inc. is a family-owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor founded in 1901, serving the Mid-Atlantic region with an expansive range of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to understand their product or service needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Maintains ongoing communication and relationship management with customers, resolving any issues that arise post-sale.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and customer/vendor relationship problems.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Performs day-to-day sales calls, acquiring new customers, assisting with product questions, market updates, and menu/recipe ideas.
- Daily reviews and analyzes territory sales performance information using the CRM system.
- Answers customer calls and questions accurately and promptly.
- Manages all account receivables within the assigned territory.
- Participates in general and regional sales meetings both in person and virtually.
- Collaborates with departments including Transportation, Purchasing, and Warehouse.
- Sells specific new items to customers in the assigned territory, working with brokers and manufacturer reps.
- Handles administrative duties such as processing credits and pick-up requests.
- Contacting all appropriate customers and completing required paperwork within 24 hours during a manufacturer recall.
- Maintains up-to-date data within the CRM system for existing and prospective customers.
- Completes and returns required documentation within the time parameters specified by management.

Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED, or 5 years of foodservice sales experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts preferred.
- 6 months of sales, chef/restaurant management experience, or related degree (Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts) preferred.
- 1 year of outside foodservice sales experience preferred.
- Restaurant management or chef experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
- Valid driver's license with a "clean" driving record (no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 7 years).
- Current automobile insurance with liability limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, and $100,000 for property damage.
Physical Requirements
- Moves self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moves about to accomplish tasks or move between worksites.
- Communicates with others to exchange information.
- Repeats motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Operates motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Exposes to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
- Must have visual acuity, including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
