Sales Representative, Select Market - Northeast
Job Summary
The Group Benefits Sales Representative will build and maintain relationships with brokers and plan holders to drive sales and retention of groups of 2-2,000 lives, with a focus on the under 100 lives market. Success will be measured by achieving high levels of production through broker development and internal relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Market, position, and sell Guardian’s entire Group Benefits portfolio products and technology solutions to designated brokers.
- Support the general wellbeing of the broker and client relationship for the development and growth of Guardian sales and client retention.
- Understand territory dynamics to build, develop, and maintain broker relationships to grow the book of business while representing Guardian’s vision to inspire well-being.
- Achieve required industry licensing within 90 days of date of hire and maintain license through completing Continuing Education requirements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to consistently achieve or exceed personal sales production expectations established by management.
- Soft Skills: Collaborative team player with the ability to effectively build rapport in person and virtually, exercise sound judgement and integrity, and act with accountability to deliver on commitments with speed and quality.
Location and Travel Requirements
The successful hire will be based in one of the following Guardian Offices: Boston, MA; Bethlehem, PA; or New York, NY. The work arrangement will be hybrid (combination of in-office and work from home). Up to 15% travel within the assigned territory.
Benefits
Salary Range: $35,000. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
