About the role

We're looking for a dynamic Sales Representative to grow our Boston South Territory, covering Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Rhode Island, and Eastern Connecticut. Reporting to the Boston Showroom Manager, you'll build relationships within the design community, develop new business opportunities, and help bring extraordinary spaces to life through exceptional design.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted ambassador of Phillip Jeffries, driving outside sales efforts and growing the Residential business across the Boston territory.
  • Foster meaningful connections with clients, guiding them through our curated collections with warmth, style, and expertise.
  • Deliver elevated product presentations that enchant and inform — from showcasing new launches to reintroducing timeless favorites.
  • Educate clients not just on the features of our materials, but the artistry and innovation behind them.
  • Ensure libraries and sample tools are beautifully maintained and reflect our evolving collections.
  • Provide thoughtful follow-ups on all project inquiries, samples, quotes, and orders with grace and professionalism.
  • Exceed sales goals and high-performing activities through strategic outreach and authentic engagement.
  • Expand our community by seeking new business prospects and nurturing emerging client relationships.
  • Represent Phillip Jeffries at industry events with poise and confidence, becoming a familiar and inspiring presence in the design scene.
  • Leverage social media with sophistication to connect, influence, and create meaningful brand moments.
  • Maintain a thoughtful rhythm of client contact through timely reports, updates, and handwritten notes.
  • Partner closely with our New Jersey support team to keep a keen eye on the pulse of your territory’s order pipeline.
  • Keep CRM systems accurate and rich with insights, ensuring every interaction is backed by organized intelligence.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with your sales support partner, celebrating wins and planning for continued success.
  • Provide account insights for direct marketing efforts, continuously refining strategies to meet client needs.

Requirements

  • Based in Greater Boston area, including Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth Counties, with a deep understanding of the local design community and market landscape.
  • 4+ years of experience in outside sales, interior design, or a related field—and you know how to build lasting client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for tradeshows, events at our headquarters, and other key brand moments.
  • Comfortable navigating ERP and CRM systems and using technology to stay organized and efficient.
  • Equipped to work from a home office and stay connected on the go.
  • Dependable transportation with space to carry sales materials and samples.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and quick responses.
  • Upbeat, can-do attitude—passion is contagious.
  • Social media savvy with the ability to represent a premium brand online.
  • Collaborative team player who values connection, communication, and shared wins.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a knack for turning data into insight.
  • Confident and clear communicator—both in person and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to support daily workflow.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but we’re most interested in your skills, passion, and experience.

Pay

  • Competitive base salary range of $70,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligibility to participate in a tiered, uncapped commission program tied to individual and territory sales performance.
  • Participation in an annual company bonus program.
  • Annual Cost of Living Increase.

Total annual compensation is not guaranteed and will vary based on individual performance, territory results, and overall market conditions.
