About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join our team in New York City. This is an outside sales role focused on building relationships within the design community and developing a strong territory presence.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with clients, guiding them through our curated collections with warmth, style, and expertise.
  • Deliver elevated product presentations that enchant and inform, from showcasing new launches to reintroducing timeless favorites.
  • Educate clients on the artistry and innovation behind our materials.
  • Maintain and update libraries and sample tools to reflect our evolving collections.
  • Provide thoughtful follow-ups on all project inquiries, samples, quotes, and orders with grace and professionalism.
  • Discover new possibilities by expanding our community, seeking new business prospects, and nurturing emerging client relationships.
  • Represent Phillip Jeffries at industry events with poise and confidence, becoming a familiar and inspiring presence in the design scene.
  • Leverage social media with sophistication to connect, influence, and create meaningful brand moments.
  • Elevate client service through precision and care by maintaining a thoughtful rhythm of client contact, keeping CRM systems accurate, and providing account insights for direct marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Based in the New York City area with an insider’s understanding of the local design scene.
  • 4+ years of experience in outside sales, interior design, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel for tradeshows, events at our headquarters, and other key brand moments.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable navigating ERP and CRM systems, and using technology to stay organized and efficient.
  • Home base ready, equipped to work from a home office and stay connected on the go.
  • Reliable wheels, having dependable transportation with space to carry sales materials and samples.
  • Customer-focused, delivering exceptional service, responding quickly, and always keeping the client experience front and center.
  • Positive energy, bringing an upbeat, can-do attitude to everything you do.
  • Digitally confident, social media savvy, and able to represent a premium brand online.
  • Team-oriented, collaborating with others and valuing connection, communication, and shared wins.
  • Detail-driven, having strong organizational and analytical skills, with a knack for turning data into insight.
  • Great communicator, both in person and in writing.
  • Tech proficient, comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite to support your daily workflow.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but we are most interested in your skills, passion, and experience.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Pay

Schedule

This role is based out of our New York City showroom and involves occasional travel for tradeshows, events at our headquarters, and other key brand moments.
