Responsibilities
- Canvass assigned geographic territory to obtain rental revenue and sales leads from existing and potential customers.
- Visit job sites to identify new opportunities and contact contractors to obtain customer information for follow-up.
- Generate reports for each customer interaction and enter information into systems; communicate qualified details to account managers and Rental Manager.
- Maintain current call lists and rental agreement lists for follow-up, determining call frequency based on customer needs and volume.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Quinn products, services, and competitive rental rates, terms, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Plan customer contacts and activities in advance to optimize efficiency.
- Assist in meeting objectives for rental fleet time, utilization, and financial performance.
- Rent equipment profitably, as measured by gross profit on rental contracts.
- Work safely at all times, adhering to all applicable safety policies and company procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Sales/rental background in construction and/or industrial equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and product lines.
- Ability to comprehend equipment specifications, price lists, and reference materials.
- Proven track record in outside sales and customer development.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and versatile with a willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Valid California driver’s license in good standing; must be available to travel.
Skills
- Perform common sales calculations quickly and accurately.
- Develop in-depth experience in capital sales.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and influence sales/rental transactions.
- Consistent attendance.
Pay
This position offers a base salary plus commission, with total annual compensation ranging from $75,000 to $100,000.
