Sales Representative - Redistribution R3 |Portland, OR
Responsibilities
- Actively Foster Key Customer Relationships and Realize Future Growth Potential
- Daily sales calls with distributor reps
- Weekly Planning of Sales Activities
- Monthly Recaps of Targeted Sales Priorities
- Contact customers to solicit orders, and establish new relationships
- Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features
- Attend required customer and company scheduled meetings
- Establish and grow new accounts
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecast to operational team to ensure inventory levels are up to date
- Evaluate pricing every quarter to ensure and protect margins
- Grow territory with topline and bottom-line results
- Participate in Industry Association Functions
- Work with outside vendors on new materials and new innovative packaging solutions with regards to packaging
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree - preferred
- Must have 2+ years of inside/outside sales experience
- Effectively plan weekly and daily activity directed towards targeted sales opportunities with the account manager- including travel within the geography 3-4 days per week
- User level proficiency in a Windows operating environment including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with AS400 is preferred
- Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up
- Strong Results - Orientation and Sense of Urgency
- Work effectively in situations that involve change and/or competing demands
- Proficient handling of all confidential and time-sensitive material
- High level of Personal Accountability
- Ability to Identify and Prioritize Key Initiatives
Qualifications

As a Sales Representative, this role will have a total compensation package of $65,000-125,000 (inclusive of competitive base salary and guaranteed commission component for the first 6 months) based on candidate experience, education & geography. After 6 months, you will transition to a traditional commission plan that is a mix of salary + commission. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance available to employees and eligible dependents starting the first day of the month after 30 days of employment (unless otherwise specified by a collective bargaining agreement). 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match of $0.75 per $1.00 contributed, up to 6% of eligible pay, available after 30 days. Paid time off, including: 10 vacation days and 2 personal days annually (prorated in the first year based on hire date). 40 hours of sick time per year (48 hours of sick leave per year if hired in WA, in accordance with Washington State law). 6 paid national holidays and 2 floating holidays annually. Pay
