About the role
As a Sales Representative - Modernization at Schindler, you’ll identify opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information to locate sources for the sale of company products. You’ll prepare documentation for prospective customers, manage existing accounts, and focus on business growth while enhancing quality of life for communities.
Responsibilities
- Meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives
- Negotiate contract terms favorable to the company
- Analyze customer needs and secure desirable business through application of company products and services
- Maintain favorable client relationships
- Assess and follow customer complaints to satisfactory resolution
- Prepare estimates for the sale of company products
- Prepare and maintain required customer information and files in accordance with established procedures
- Work with owners and building management to obtain maintenance agreements, renewals, and system updates to meet new code requirements or apply new technologies
- Source, analyze, communicate, and apply competitive data for competitive advantage
- Communicate necessary information to customers and internal operations to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales cost objectives
- Retain and grow customer base
- Manage accounts receivable for assigned accounts
- Develop negotiating strategies with minimal monitoring by management
- Plan, develop, and implement sales strategies for specific negotiations consistent with internal product strategy and customer requirements
- Understand financial goals and expectations of the company
- Participate in company professional development programs to enhance knowledge of elevator products, services, and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or minimum of 3 years of industry sales experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, and SAP preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Good conflict resolution skills
