Sales Representative, Industrial Wood, Seattle
Sales Representatives initiate and manage relationships with customers and serve as the point of contact for the Company. This position will develop wood coating sales in a specific geographic territory, securing new accounts while maintaining existing customer relationships.
About the role
This is a remote/field position based in Seattle, WA, with up to 20% travel expected. The role involves contact with customers, including minors, and may require access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, and merchandise. A criminal history review is required for this position. The role is eligible for bonus, commissions, and long-term incentive compensation based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed sales budget and increase gallon growth.
- Grow opportunity account sales and collect reliable customer/territory information.
- Estimate individual customer potential and conduct competitive product testing.
- Identify competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and determine Sherwin-Williams’ competitive advantages.
- Develop a strategy to sell to target customers, focusing on specific items or product categories.
- Conduct product demonstrations to support the selling process.
- Access product/technical information to meet customers’ application requirements.
- Identify and follow through on sales leads provided by store or facility personnel.
- Understand servicing store/facility strengths and weaknesses and communicate effectively with staff.
- Provide product troubleshooting, technical guidance, and customer support throughout the sales process and post-sale relationship.
- Act as a technical service representative for clients.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for an employment work visa now or in the future.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing and able to travel as required by the position.
- Must have at least one (1) year of business-to-business sales experience.
- Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license.
