Sales Representative, Flowerbuyer

About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Associate for our B2B Flowerbuyer.com business. This position involves establishing relationships with key retail florists, managing customer portfolios, and providing solutions tailored to their needs. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales, customer relationship management, and objection handling.
Responsibilities
- Establish rapport and trust with key retail florists
- Call upon and develop relationships with key retail florists via phone calls and Microsoft Teams meetings
- Provide custom products/solutions to top accounts
- Utilize appropriate order entry, call tracking, and contact management software
- Participate in sales, product, and process training as required
- Meet and exceed daily expectations of time on telephone selling to the florist
Qualifications
- Proven track record of entering a new industry and building a book of business
- Ability to close and manage relationships over the phone
- Successful track record of new lead generation and ability to overcome customer objections
- Customer-obsessed mindset
- Strong time management, communication, and execution skills required
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Desire to achieve and maintain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction
- Hardworking, creative, open-minded, and driven demeanor with a "can do attitude"
- PC literacy required: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years of sales experience; floral industry experience is a plus
- Experience with outbound sales, customer relationship management, or account development preferred
- Experience with prospecting, customer retention, objection handling, and reactivating inactive customers is a plus
