About the Role
Prospects, sells, and supports wireless systems for general commercial accounts.
Responsibilities
- Prospect for sales opportunities via telephone, personal visits, mailings, personal letters, internet searches, attending trade shows, industrial events, meetings, and referrals from existing customers.
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Attend customer meetings via telephone and in person to discuss sales solutions.
- Make site and facility visits to observe and determine communication needs and possible solutions.
- Prepare and present sales proposals to customers, meeting quotas set by management.
- Work with supervisor and credit manager to quote prices, credit terms, and prepare sales agreements for orders obtained.
- Estimate delivery dates to customers based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
- Train new customers in the use of equipment.
- Prepare monthly forecasts, sales plans, sales funnels, sales results, and annual forecast reports.
- Plan sales calls and identify the Single Sales Objective.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into a computer database.
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
- Contact customers after sale to ensure satisfaction.
- Attend new product training as needed.
- Develop and implement plans and strategies for quickly growing your sales territory.
- Articulate the value proposition of products and services to convert prospects to customers.
Requirements
- High-level understanding of radio concepts and a moderate understanding of general wireless technology.
- High-level understanding of Distributed Antenna Systems and related system components.
- One year certificate from college or technical school in sales/communication technology; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in selling Public Safety, Cellular, LMR, and/or Distributed Antenna Systems.
- Valid Driver’s License.
