Sales Representative (Countertop)
About the role
Grow and develop the sales and margins of MSI’s countertop products with fabricators and kitchen & bath retailers within an assigned geographic territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with current and potential customers within the territory.
- Assist customers by providing product knowledge and training to their store personnel, ensuring staff can effectively present products and negotiate with consumers.
- Understand MSI’s products, market competition, and positioning strategies to overcome competitive factors.
- Manage displays, samples, and selling tools to ensure customer availability.
- Understand retail business financials to consult with dealers on pricing, advertising, promotions, and ROI.
- Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for customer orders.
- Estimate delivery dates based on company delivery schedules.
- Review and analyze sales reports to identify sales potential with current and potential new customers.
- Utilize marketing tools such as catalogs, brochures, and vendor collateral to broaden reach and promote products.
- Research and analyze customer needs and market demands.
- Investigate and resolve customer claims related to deliveries, returns, and credits.
- Attend trade shows as required.
- Travel 40% - 80% locally, with occasional national or international travel.
- Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two or more years of experience in channel distribution sales.
- Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience in natural stone, slab, or hard flooring industries.
- Minimum of 2 years of outside B2B sales experience.
- Strong math skills to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Ability to determine solutions for customers.
- Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Intermediate computer proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Industry experience in countertop, distribution, or building materials sales preferred.

Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
