Sales Representative
About the Role
The Waste Pro Sales Representative is responsible for driving short and long-term revenue growth through targeted prospecting, business development, relationship building, and consultative selling within a defined Division area (territory). This role involves developing partnerships with customers, commercial clients, franchisers, business leaders, governmental officials, and strategic partners to acquire new contracts and extend existing ones for waste collection, processing, transportation, and disposal services.
Responsibilities
- Develop maximum potential sales volume and profitability within the defined territory.
- Participate in short and long-term strategic Market and Sales Planning with Regional and Corporate Sales Managers.
- Meet or exceed sales call activity goals for new sales.
- Match Waste Pro services to customer needs and provide necessary sales support.
- Build a strong customer base through phone and in-person visits within the regional geographical area.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by soliciting feedback and maintaining direct communication.
- Drive contract acquisition, retention, and renewal by developing critical relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
- Prepare competitive proposals using industry and company knowledge.
- Develop bid and RFP submittal packages in partnership with corporate sales, marketing, and regional management.
- Interface with Waste Pro executives, managers, associates, and customers to target opportunities and pursue leads.
- Close contracts through negotiation, competitive pricing, and adherence to sales strategy in partnership with Region Sales Manager(s).
- Initiate billing and contract audits to ensure proper pricing and invoicing.
- Resolve customer complaints in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in community events and activities to promote Waste Pro’s brand and values.
- Keep management informed of sales activities impacting the Division, Region, and Company.
- Monitor, track, and report sales activity using available technology.
- Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with Corporate Sales, Marketing, and Regional Specialists on press coverage, collateral literature, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Stay informed about competitor services and pricing.
- Maintain sales activity status using a standard format or sales automation tool.
Other Job Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
- Stay updated on current technology used by Waste Pro.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

A valid driver’s license and extensive driving within the defined sales area/territory are required.
Work Environment
The normal setting for this job is a combination of Office Setting and Outside Sales.
