Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and other customers in the construction industry.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through networking, site visits, and market research.
- Promote company products and services by providing technical knowledge and recommendations to customers.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and bids.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements within company guidelines.
- Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and quality control to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project opportunities.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and community functions.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs, product performance, and service improvements.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of sales experience in construction materials, concrete, or a related industry are preferred.
- A strong knowledge of concrete products and construction processes (or a willingness to learn) is essential.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are necessary.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems is required.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary due to the field-based nature of the role.
