Sales Representative

About the role
The Sales Representative - Rental Services will generate rental and sales leads in an assigned geographic territory.
Pay
The Sales Representative position offers a generous compensation package that includes a base salary plus commission. Candidates with relevant industry experience have the potential to earn $75,000 to $125,000.
Responsibilities
- Canvass assigned geographic territory to obtain rental revenue and sales leads from existing and potential customers.
- Visit job sites to identify new opportunities.
- Contact all contractors on-site to obtain necessary customer contact information for follow-up.
- Generate reports for each customer interface and enter information into systems; communicate qualified information to the appropriate account manager and Rental Manager.
- Maintain a current call list and rental agreement list for follow-up on job sites.
- Identify call frequency based on customer needs, volume, and requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of features and applications of all Quinn products and services.
- Maintain competitive knowledge of rental rates, terms, strengths, weaknesses, and performance relative to value.
- Plan customer contacts and activities in advance to optimize efficiency.
- Assist in meeting stated objectives for rental fleet time, utilization, and financial utilization.
- Rent equipment on a profitable basis as measured by gross profit on rental contracts.
- Work safely at all times; adhere to all applicable safety policies.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
- Must maintain a current driver’s license and be available to travel.
- In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and product lines.
- Ability to comprehend equipment specifications, price lists, and reference material.
- Perform common sales calculations quickly and accurately.
- Ability to develop in-depth experience in capital sales.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively with people and influence sales/rental transactions.
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
- High school diploma.
- Sales/rental background in construction and/or industrial equipment.
- Equipment and application knowledge.
- Proven track record in outside sales and customer development.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and versatile with a willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Must have a California driver’s license in good standing.
