Sales Representative

About the role
This position will challenge you daily while contributing to the bottom line. As the Sales Representative, you will sell commercial roofing products and systems to generate new business and grow profitability within the Jacksonville, FL territory. You will call on roofing contractors, specifiers, distributors, and building owners. The role is remote, requiring strong time management and organization. Travel within your territory (including extensive driving) and occasional travel to Denver or other locations will be required.
Candidate must live in the Jacksonville, FL area.
Responsibilities
- Sell commercial roofing products and systems to generate new business and grow profitability
- Call on roofing contractors, specifiers, distributors, and building owners
- Work independently while managing time and organization effectively
- Travel within the territory and occasionally to Denver or other locations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- 1 or more years of experience in a customer-facing role or sales experience
- Experience building rapport and developing strong customer relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive automobiles for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in environmental conditions (hot/cold temperatures, high noise levels, exposure to mechanical parts, dust/fumes/mist/gas), walk extensively, and work at heights
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with consultative and solutions selling
- Experience in low slope commercial roofing or the construction industry
- Experience calling on architects and specifiers
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people and across all levels of an organization
- Negotiation skills (contracts, pricing, etc.)
- Strong business acumen
Pay
Base salary pay range: $95,000.00–$130,700.00 annually. Pay within this range will vary based on relevant experience, skills, and education. This position is also eligible for an incentive bonus.
