Sales Representative
The Sales Representative position is responsible for direct sales activity within an assigned territory, identifying and developing new accounts leveraging Intertek’s Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification (ATIC) solutions.
About the Role
Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of ATIC Services, seeks a Sales Representative in Columbus, Ohio to join their Electrical Sales team. The Electrical business line applies product testing expertise to help clients meet safety, performance, environmental, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Sell Intertek’s services within assigned vertical, account and territory through effective client research, prospecting, and networking.
- Meet with current and prospective customers via client presentations and participation at trade shows.
- Meet order and revenue quotas on a monthly basis.
- Write and follow up on proposals, specify appropriate standards and pricing;
- Follow through on sales transactions to ensure a superior customer experience for every project.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Maintain and log activity in to iConnect, as required.
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts, as required.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1+ years successful direct sales experience
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
- Exceptional ability to communicate and interact effectively in written, verbal, and presentation formats
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
- Physical dexterity/mobility to travel via car, airplane, and to perform all clerical functions inherent to the position
Qualifications
- Business to business sales experience
- Experience with CRM tools (MS Dynamics / Sales Force / other)

Salary & Benefits Information: The Sales Representative position offers a base salary plus monthly incentive eligibility based on sales goals. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. In addition to competitive compensation packages, Intertek employees are eligible for a variety of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement, and more. The benefit package is competitively placed within the local market.
Pay
Base salary plus monthly incentive eligibility based on sales goals.
Schedule
Travel at least 50% of the time.
