Sales Representative
About the role
The Sales Representative position is eligible to participate in International Paper’s PSNA sales commission plan, offering significant commission earning potential.
Responsibilities
- Professionally represent International Paper’s Packaging Solutions North America (PSNA) business in the packaging marketplace.
- Manage a sales territory by developing and fostering sound customer relationships.
- Generate profitable sales through regular and customary in-person interactions with prospective and existing customers.
- Evaluate and offer recommendations to fulfill customer packaging needs, aligning with regional and plant management directives.
- Grow the business with high transactional to consultative mix accounts by implementing Key Account Plans.
- Enable profitable decision-making through demonstrated knowledge of general business principles, internal financial management, and industry business practices.
- Create IP advantage through continuous evaluation of market conditions, competitive environment, and opportunities for innovation.
- Travel to multiple customer sites/meetings weekly and work in various environments, including client sites, trade events, etc. (50% or more of the time).
- Act as an account team leader.
Qualifications, Skills And Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related equivalent work experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in the corrugated box industry preferred.
- Action-oriented, customer-focused, drives results.
- Functional/technical skills, nimble learning.
