About The Role
Harman is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join the JBL Store team in New York City. The primary responsibilities include achieving sales targets, executing retail marketing projects, providing exceptional customer experiences, and assisting with store operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers by greeting them and assisting them.
- Educate visitors on audio technology, specifically promoting JBL products and other Harman technology, brands, and history.
- Advises customers by asking questions, determining needs, and presenting products and features in a consultative manner.
- Aid customers in making selections by establishing rapport, offering suggestions, and providing quality audio demonstrations.
- Process payments by totaling purchases, processing cash, or using credit cards.
- Contribute to the team effort by meeting/exceeding established sales goals, while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Assist customers with any product or service problems using company guidelines and collaborating with managers to resolve issues.
- Deal with change and be results-oriented to succeed in this role.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of retail sales experience.
- Previous experience in a large city, urban markets.
- Passion for Music and Consumer Audio Technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Engaging personality and ability to connect with customers through conversation.
- Education: 2 years Associate's Degree, preferred.
- Customer focus and ability to meet customer needs.
- Drive for results and ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Good collaboration and team skills.
Nice to Have
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
- Experience working with consumer electronics or products in the retail industry.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
What You Will Do

What You Need
- Minimum of 3-5 years of retail sales experience.

- Willingness to travel, if necessary, locally, 5% domestic.
- Willingness to work in a retail store environment in NYC.

Pay Transparency
$ 47,250 - $ 69,300 Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission. Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
