Pay
Competitive starting salary range of $55k–$58k during training, depending on experience. After training and route assignment, earn commissions plus subsidy until scaling to 100% commission. Top performers can earn well over $100,000 annually. Car allowance and mileage reimbursement through the CarData Program.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM. Role requires 80% driving travel across the Greater Lansing territory, with occasional overnight stays.
About the role
We seek a standout Sales Representative to drive growth by managing and expanding a portfolio of independent convenience store customers. This role blends charisma, innovation, and customer engagement to build strong business relationships, tap into new accounts, and enhance profitability. Responsibilities
- Grow sales and profit margins through strategic territory management and customized sales approaches for individual customers.
- Prospect and onboard new customer accounts, including cold-calling to maintain a robust pipeline.
- Educate customers on convenience and foodservice programs, promotions, marketing policies, service, delivery specifics, and industry trends.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports with store managers to identify and address opportunities.
- Monitor accounts for compliance with credit terms and resolve accounts receivable issues.
- Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the territory to ensure competitive pricing.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to increase sales.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- At least 2 years of sales, account management, or business development experience.
- Proven success in closing B2B sales across multiple product lines.
- Experience with sales-ledger travel and effective time management.
- General knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, cold-chain integrity, and ServSafe certification.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for professional, results-driven customer interactions.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
- Energetic, entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of growing market share.
