Sales Representative

About the role

Canada Dry Potomac Corporation, a proud member of The Honickman Companies, is hiring a Sales Representative (Swing Sales) to represent our iconic beverage brands in the Mid-Atlantic region. This field-based role focuses on building customer relationships, executing sales strategies, and ensuring company brands are consistently represented at the highest standard.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and key account contacts
• Drive outside sales revenue and increase distribution of company brands
• Possess and execute sales strategies to prospect for new accounts through regular outside sales calls
• Service the account on every visit, including merchandising products on shelves and in coolers
• Build and maintain promotional displays
• Lead, schedule, and at times execute resets in order to expand portfolio
• Develop and execute sales plans to meet volume and distribution goals
• Anticipate objections and provide effective solutions
• Ensure product is in code, saleable, and properly merchandised
• Maintain or increase shelf space and secure secondary displays
• Monitor competitive activity and report market insights
• Support promotional events, grand openings, and special dealer requests
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and voicemails
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
• Maintain company equipment and property in clean, working condition
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and recall procedures

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance, minimum of two years of successful sales and/or customer service experience
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, prior sales experience in a related industry

Additional Details

• Field-based role with daily travel to customer accounts
• Indoor and outdoor working environments, office tasks completed primarily at customer locations
• Use of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Physical Requirements: Regular standing, walking, reaching, and bending, occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs, frequent driving and data entry
