About the role
We’re hiring an Outside Sales Representative to drive equipment sales and build long-term customer relationships in a defined territory. This role involves solving problems, offering practical solutions, and being a go-to partner for customers. You’ll manage your accounts, work with a fast-moving team, and contribute to our growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Implement strategic plans to identify new opportunities and increase sales
- Conduct detailed customer needs analyses to create tailored proposals and solutions
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions
- Maintain working knowledge of used equipment values and support trade-in evaluations
- Absorb and assist customers with financing options for new, used, and rental equipment
- Attend training sessions and seminars to continuously improve sales effectiveness
Requirements
- At least 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the material handling or equipment industry
- Working knowledge of lift trucks, aerial equipment, racking, dock, and door equipment
- Self-motivated with a track record of prospecting and closing new business opportunities
- Ability to tailor sales conversations using effective questioning and listening skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a larger team
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
