New Business Development
- Possess strong prospecting and networking skills.
- Identify and target key decision-makers in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using a CRM system.
Customer Discovery & Site Assessments
- Conduct thorough building walkthroughs and equipment surveys.
- Collaborate with service technicians to validate equipment counts and assess system conditions.
- Work closely with operations and service managers to ensure contract deliverability and alignment with customer expectations.
Proposal Development & Contracting
- Create customized preventative maintenance proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Present proposals to both technical and executive audiences, emphasizing value-driven solutions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract execution and onboarding.
Account Growth & Retention
- Identify and pursue upselling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Partner with operations and service managers to ensure contracted services are profitable and meet customer expectations.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records and activity logs.
- Provide regular forecasting and pipeline updates to sales leadership.
- Stay informed about industry trends, equipment types, and competitive offerings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of business-to-business outside sales experience, preferably in HVAC, mechanical services, facilities management, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prospect and build a pipeline from scratch.
- Strong consultative selling skills, capable of presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
- Comfortable conducting building walkthroughs and equipment surveys.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
Compensation & Benefits
- $65K - $115K (Base salary + commission) based on sales experience and performance.
