Sales Representative / Account Manager - Raleigh, NC
About the role
Trex is seeking a Sales Representative/Account Manager to manage key customer relationships and grow new business. This role is a key member of the Field Sales team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and foster Trex's "people first" culture
- Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day responsibilities for all top distributor locations within your territory
- Develop and leverage strong business relationships with key distributor contacts at each branch location
- Develop and leverage key geographic contacts and maintain established call frequency for defined national account customers, Home Depot district managers, and national/regional builder contacts
- Manage established dealer network while prospecting for new accounts and developing markets
- Develop and execute an annual business plan with the Regional/District Sales Manager
- Establish KPI targets in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager. Develop and execute a plan to deliver optimal results
- Manage individual travel and expense budget
- Effectively manage co-op funding within primary distributor responsibility

Travel Requirements
This position requires overnight travel within the designated territory to meet with customers. Additional overnight travel will be required for trade shows, industry events, and other professional development opportunities. A valid driver’s license is required.

Experience
- Sales Representative: At least 3 years of outside sales experience is required. Candidates without a degree will be required to have at least 6 years of outside sales experience with a proven track record of sales success.
- Account Manager: At least 5 years of outside sales experience is required. Candidates without a degree will be required to have at least 8 years of outside sales experience with a proven track record of sales success.
Pay
Sales Representative Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
Account Manager Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually
