About the role
As an In-Territory Sales Representative at Top Hat, you will play a pivotal role in transforming education by enhancing teaching methods and improving learning outcomes for students.
Responsibilities
- Develop professional relationships with professors and department leaders to showcase the value of Top Hat’s platform and products.
- Work closely with Customer Success Managers and internal product and marketing partners to ensure a great customer experience and maximize revenue growth.
- Prospect and close new business opportunities in assigned accounts.
- Sell the full suite of Top Hat and approved partner products and services, including digital textbook content and SaaS platforms.
- Position and message Top Hat’s value proposition to professors and department leaders using a mix of inside and outside sales techniques.
- Travel to campuses within your territory to conduct in-person sales activities, up to 75% during sales seasons.
Requirements
- Highly motivated and achievement-oriented with a passion for driving change in higher education.
- Experience in a sales role with 2+ years of experience, preferably in selling to professors on campus.
- Ability to identify, drive, and close large/complex deals, prospect effectively, and run the full sales cycle.
- Able to interpret and apply feedback/coaching quickly in a metrics-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License due to travel requirements.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This role requires approximately 40-50% of your time to be spent on campus annually, with up to 75% of your time on campus during sales seasons.
