About the role
As an In-Territory Sales Representative at Top Hat, you will be responsible for:
- Developing professional relationships with professors and departments
- Demonstrating the value of Top Hat's platform and products
- Converting professors into clients
- Enhancing teaching methods and improving learning outcomes
- Traveling to campuses within your territory to prospect professors
Responsibilities
- Find, create, facilitate, and close new business opportunities in your assigned accounts
- Sell the full suite of Top Hat and approved partner products and services
- Position and message Top Hat's value proposition to professors or department leaders
- Work closely with Customer Success Managers and internal product and marketing partners
Requirements
This role requires:
- 40-50% (up to 75%) of your time travelling to campuses for in-person sales
- A valid Driver’s License
- The ability to identify, drive, and close large/complex deals
- The ability to prospect effectively and run the full sales cycle
- The ability to interpret and apply feedback/coaching quickly
Qualifications
- Highly motivated and achievement-oriented
- Experience selling to professors in person on campus is preferred
- Experience working in a metrics-driven environment
Skills
- Strong sales skills, including the ability to identify, drive, and close large/complex deals
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
