About the role
ELS is the ideal organization for developing a long and successful career. This is not a traditional 9-5, desk job. Instead, you will develop and execute creative sales and marketing plans to drive business to the community.
Responsibilities
- Selling, processing, and closing homes in accordance with company business plans.
- Show homes and highlight their features and benefits.
- Approximately 85% of your time will be spent showing homes.
- Adhere to the company’s selling philosophy when serving customers.
- Utilize all selling and organizational tools, including accompanying customers through model homes, undecorated models, and available homesites.
- Provide timely and consistent follow-through with current customers from initial contact to after closing.
- Maintain records of all communication.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the competitive marketplace, including product, site, local community, sales, advertising, and demographics.
- Monitor and record daily customer traffic using company designated tracking tools and send "Thank You" notes to all potential customers.
- Accomplish required administrative tasks accurately, expertly, and in a timely manner.
- Create sales agreements which may include calculating sales tax and monthly payment plans, as well as running credit checks.
- Attend regular rally meetings to review sales and marketing strategies.
- Meet with residents and buyers to list and sell homes and keep a database of available homes for sale.
- Collaborate with the Community Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and/or Regional Manager to develop community sales and marketing plans.
- Participate in regional call campaigns and community events.
- Build strong resident relations through ongoing communications and a courteous, respectful, and customer-focused attitude to generate sales.

- Strong math skills and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.

- Enjoy self-generating sales through outreach and marketing initiatives.
- Able to use the Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook and Excel.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Qualifications
This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Applicants should also possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales and customer service.
