Duties & Responsibilities
- Take over responsibility, process, and execute new customer orders from start to finish
- Address customer inquiries appropriately, for example by consulting with a product manager having technical expertise or working with colleagues in Germany
- Supervise the overall project progress & milestones, take necessary measures to ensure success
- Conduct kick-off and status update meetings if applicable
- Collaborate with multiple departments locally and overseas, pull in technical experts and commercial support when useful, e.g. our retrofit teams overseas or our local product managers and application engineers
- Communicate with customers about execution status of project, e.g. regarding delivery
- Calculate project profitability for customer orders
- Maintain good overview of large number of simultaneous projects and keep management informed
Requirements
- Must maintain Valid Driver’s License
- Routine travel within North America to support customers will be required. Less than 10% anticipated
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business-related field
- 5+ years experience with project management in automotive or industrial manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with machine tools, lasers, and/or laser systems preferred
- Certifications in Project Management preferred
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
