About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Professional to join our dedicated team at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, Ames’ only locally owned funeral care center. In this role, you will build lasting relationships with individuals and families, providing comprehensive guidance on preneed funeral and memorial planning. Helping families create lasting legacies is more than a job—it’s our calling.

Responsibilities

• Connect and empathize with clients to understand their needs.
• Provide guidance on preneed funeral and memorial planning.
• Set appointments and consult with clients to achieve sales goals.
• Work independently while maintaining organization and self-motivation.

Requirements

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• 2+ years of sales experience preferred, including appointment setting and consulting (other professional backgrounds will be considered).
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Reliable vehicle for transportation.
• Current IA Life License or ability to obtain one.
