About the role

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide financial support to assist men and women with various social and spiritual issues. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities, offering clean and healthy living environments, good food, work therapy, leisure activities, counseling, and spiritual guidance. Our goal is to develop life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This position contributes to recycling goods that help repair broken lives.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the management team in achieving sales, production, and expense goals to maintain profitability.
  • Complete payroll information for all staff members.
  • Receive and participate in interviews for applications as requested.
  • Train, direct, and supervise new employees.
  • Ensure store personnel are aware of and comply with all policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Complete and forward sales reports and other required paperwork to the finance office daily.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked.
  • Act as backup for the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager as needed.
  • Support the work therapy program by providing professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in sales.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
  • Good communication and supervisory skills.
