About the role

The Sales Outfitter - Archery performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise, and providing information and assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
  • Demonstrate products to customers.
  • Replenish product on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
  • Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
  • Stay knowledgeable of advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
  • Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
  • Restock merchandise as required.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs, evaluating options, and making product recommendations.
  • Promote programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
  • Friendly and professional communication with customers and associates.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experience operating computerized point-of-sale register systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
  • Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
  • Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
  • Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds (team lift as needed).
  • Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments.

Independent Judgement

Performs tasks under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems, occasionally using independent judgment. Often makes recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices.
