Job Summary
Founded in Austin in 1986, The Human Potential Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization. GoodwheelChairs, a subsidiary of the Human Potential Center, provides discounted wheelchairs, powerchairs, and scooters at affordable prices. This position is unpaid and volunteer-based.
About the Role
We are seeking a kind, ethical, and responsible individual to manage sales for our small charity operation. The ideal candidate is a retiree or someone with additional time who shares our values and mission.
Responsibilities
- Sales: Answering emails and phone calls, showing chairs to prospective buyers, and networking with other organizations.
- Database Management: Updating the computer database to accurately reflect sales activity.
Requirements
No formal education or experience is required, but candidates should have a passion for helping others and a commitment to our mission of building emotionally-healthy communities through authenticity and integrity.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable with technology and able to update databases.
