Our Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, coordination and direction of profitable sales within a specified region. This role requires a “take the wheel” approach for the entire sales process along with strong skills for intelligence gathering, prospecting to negotiating, and account management.
Responsibilities
- Develop a team of high performers who grow business through new account acquisition and expanding share of wallet.
- Implement sales and marketing strategies which will contribute to achieving the Territory and Regional objectives.
- Conduct sales meetings, trainings, and account/pipeline reviews on a regular basis with sales group.
- Set appropriate performance objectives for team members and hold them accountable for achieving these.
- Identify opportunities and present solutions offered by the organization that meet the customer’s needs.
- Create a personal network and represent the organization at business sector events to enhance the company brand.
- Work with organization to ensure team members maintain up-to-date customer and inventory data in the CRM and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and report on team performance, assets (inventory) and budget execution.
- Partner with the Credit Manager to ensure accounts receivable are kept current.
- Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures to ensure the team’s and own work adheres to required standards.
- May be requested to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.
- 3-5 years of related job experience.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 30% travel required.
- Experience managing a team of 5-10 direct reports.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in Facility Solutions or similar industry is preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills.
- Good interpersonal and conflict management skills.
- Territory sales or account management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding or experience from a large, national, or decentralized distribution organization preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Work in an office as well as travel to customers, suppliers, group meetings, etc.
Pay
Base Salary - up to $150,000 with an annual bonus target of $18,800.
