About the role
The Sales Manager-Critical Infrastructure (FDO Northern VA/DC) oversees the sales organization for Factory Direct Sales Offices in Richmond and Ashburn, Virginia. Key responsibilities include sales achievement, team management, and customer relationship building.
Responsibilities
- Achieves sales and profitability objectives including quotas, expense control, and operating profit results.
- Ensures sales personnel meet company objectives, including pipeline management, customer satisfaction, and new product introductions.
- Develops and maintains high-level selling relationships with key customers and partners.
- Recruits and motivates experienced sales talent.
- Solves issues related to profit decline, customer conflicts, and competitor threats.
- Manages office subscriptions for customer interaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Business focus preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to make sound decisions and collaborate effectively.
- Understanding of the critical space industry and Vertiv products.

Pay
The overall anticipated total compensation package for this role in the Washington DC locality is between $253k to $337k per year, inclusive of base salary and eligibility for a monthly sales incentive plan. The estimated base salary range is between $177k to $235k per year.
Schedule
50% travel required.
