Sales Manager Overview
White Star Logistics seeks a Sales Manager to lead the organization's sales efforts towards achieving a goal of delivering 1,000,000 loads. The role involves building a scalable sales organization, recruiting top talent, and ensuring consistent performance through coaching and accountability systems.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and hire sales talent to build out the team.
- Coach and develop salespeople, including improving the performance of underperforming representatives.
- Establish and enforce accountability to activity and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews and sales meetings.
- Develop and refine sales processes, playbooks, and onboarding procedures for new representatives.
- Assume ownership of team-level GM-per-load and revenue growth targets, partnering with leadership on organizational scaling.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years managing a team of salespeople in freight brokerage or logistics.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, hiring, and onboarding sales talent.
- Experience with specialized freight such as cross-border, drayage, intermodal, expedited, or project cargo transportation is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills across phone, email, and video conferencing.
