Your Role
As a sales manager for Versigent's Silicon Valley based team, you'll be working with some of the most exciting electric vehicle OEMs in the area. Working as part of a global team, you will be responsible for fostering new customer relationships and strengthening existing ones. You will additionally be tasked with managing a team of account managers and contributing to their professional growth. The sales manager is a key position for continued sustained growth within Versigent as our customers continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Sales Account Managers and cultivate their professional growth
- Work closely with finance to prepare business cases for new program quote reviews
- Maintain customer revenue forecast
- Maintain price history
- Oversee business relationship and scorecard
- Work closely with cross functional areas to reconcile issues related to supply
- Maintain and report-out on status to goals
- Relationship development
- Establish and participate in face to face meetings with customer
- Grow customer contact list
- Oversee specific customer teams to assure customer expectations and relationship deliverables are achieved. Includes: management meetings, engineering involvement, customer service, etc.
- Establish knowledge competency of LV & HV wire harness applications to represent Aptiv portfolio & value prop
- Plan and participate in customer technical reviews.
- Lead resolution of account receivable issues.
- Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Sales Account Management role
- Analytical capability and business acumen
- Technical awareness and problem-solving methodologies
- Strong people and communication skills
- High energy, a passion for success, the desire to lead
- Self-starter, Ability to manage multiple activities effectively without supervision
- Strong MS Excel skills
- English language fluency, written and verbal
- Local residents only, with ability to work on site
- Valid U.S. Passport with ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with start-up OEMs or electronics
- Past sales/finance/engineering experience
- Knowledgeable with vehicle wiring system designs and/or manufacturing processes
- Ability to comprehend customer requirements and communicate them effectively to the internal organization
- Successful history of leading a program team activity with a customer
